Teaching Experience

  • 1971-1981 Tutor in Mathematics Physics and Chemistry.
  • 1971-1975 Professor of Electromagnetic Theory and Statistical Mechanics at the Graduate School of NRC "Democritos". Professor of Plasma Physics (summer school) at the same school.
  • During my scientific career I have given numerous lectures in Plasma Physics, Thermonuclear Fusion, Medical Physics and Applied Acoustics.
  • During my business career I have taught numerous courses in areas like Microcomputers, Operating Systems and System Integration.

Scientific Experience

    Between 1971-1983 I worked as an experimental physicist in subjects in the above mentioned areas. In addition, within the scope of my activities I have acquired invaluable laboratory experience in various areas including electronic uses and construction. I have also acquired experience in data acquisition and data processing (in addition to courses in Programming FORTRAN-1972).

Professional Experience

  • 1983-present -As part of my profession responsibilities in CIS Group of companies, where I am an Executive Vice President, I have attended numerous courses and conferences in Greece and broad on Microcomputers, Operating Systems and Communications.
  • In 1983 I was the co-ordinator of the group which, within CIS, developed the first Greek character set (437-H) for the IBM PC which has become the defacto standard in the Greek Market.
  • In 1984 I was invited-speaker at the Unesco Conference on microcomputers held at the University of Patra. My one-day speech was on the IBM PC and its software.
  • I have also acted as consultant to numerous firms and organizations (e.g. Bank of Greece, Ethnos newspaper, KODAK, PHILIPS e.t.c) on Networking, Communications, System Integration and Desk Top and Editorial Publishing.
  • Between 1991-1993, I acted as a special advisor for the Integrated Mediterranean Programs-Informatics for the Municipalities of Salamina and Papagos and the Hellenic Organization for Standardization (ELOT).
  • Senior R&D scientist for the DAEDALUS Group.

Organizational Experience

  • Founding of CIS Group of companies (1983).
  • Founding of the Free Public University of Piraeus (1987).
  • Founding member of European Society for Professional Advancement and Hellenic Institute if Logistic Management (1990).
